Ghosts, Traces, Echoes: Works in Shifts

(Geister, Spüren, Echos_ Arbeiten in Schichten)

Stories of work are location specific but they are also histories of specific times – labour mobilities, production conditions, resistance and solidarity potentials etc. of a specific era. This exhibition was conceived as a palimpsest where the history of WORK in a particular time and location was partially veiled by laying another history of another time and location on top of it. Thus, the different histories – of the ghosts and the traces and the echoes of labour and work in recent past simultaneously obscure and contextualise each other.
